Stanton-by-Bridge is close to Melbourne, the jewel of South Derbyshire and Ticknall, home of the now well-known Calke Abbey and Park.
Calke Abbey - dubbed 'the house that time forgot' - is Derbyshire's second largest stately home (after Chatsworth House).
As the cottages are facing nearby woodland, each of the four cottages is named after a native tree; so we have Ash, Chestnut, Elm and Sycamore.
